Hi I'm Marcus Corbett

I have lived a life full of love, both giving and receiving. I am a leader, a learner, and a runner. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was a young boy, I developed a love for two things: sports and helping other people. Those two topics have filled the majority of my days here on this earth. I currently am a runner and a basketball player. I love to help others as I serve in leadership in sports, school, and church.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the peace it brings to my soul. I'm a Mormon because of the spirit I feel in my heart as I see the truths of the gospel in practice. I'm a Mormon because I love my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and know that he loves me. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the church where the gospel of Christ is practiced in its fullness.

How I live my faith

When I was baptized at age eight, I made a promise to God that I would live my life the way that Jesus Christ demonstrated I should. I take that very seriously. In church, I am the leader of a group of young men ages 16-18. Together we play, serve, and learn with the goal to become closer to our Savior Jesus Christ. As a holder of the Priesthood, I go out each month and visit five families with my father. We visit those people as friends and desire to help them in anyway we can. I love to surprise the widows we teach with the occasional flowers. Their reactions are priceless and truly bring joy to my heart! At school, I have given up trying to be cool. I have learned that being cool naturally comes as you care for each and every person you come into contact with, just as Christ did. I have been voted to be the Spirit Coordinator at my high school. This opportunity has allowed me to share happiness and the excitement that comes through honest and clean fun here on earth. I search for those who are in need both physically and spiritually and attempt to help them the best I can. I have learned that as long as I live my faith through love, everything else takes care of itself and that I am able to both spread and receive pure joy on Earth.
