Hi I'm Jacob Beckert

I grew up in Mesa, Arizona. I love baseball, making music, and helping others. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love all of sports, but my favorite sport is baseball. I am a sophomore in college studying Exercise and Wellness, with dreams of becoming a Physical Therapist. I am pretty reserved sometimes, but when something gets me going I will probably talk too much. I have a very competitive side that usually only comes out while playing sports. I am the youngest of three, and love to spend time with my brother and sister and my parents. My family is very close, which I love.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know that I must follow my Savior. The church is where the fullness of His gospel is found. I have always had many questions regarding basically everything church related, and I have found all of the answers though prayerful study of the scriptures. I feel Him near as I pray and ask even for the simplest of things. I know that He hears me and I see His hand in my life on a daily basis. I am far from perfect but He loves me just the same and finds ways to help me become better. The church is the frame work to help us all return to His presence. It helps me to see that I am not alone in my desire to be better, I am a Mormon because I want to be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to live as Christ lived while he was on the earth. Namely trying to make every person I see have a better day. If I can bless someone's life by holding a door open for them, or even just smiling and asking them how their day is going, I will do it. I have had a chance to work with youth many times and it is probably my favorite thing to do. Seeing young people grow in understanding of our Savior is incredible to me and fills me with joy.
