Hi I'm Scott

I grew up in Northern California. I currently live in Pennsylvania. I sell caskets. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in the church in California and served a mission in Colorado. I am married to a beautiful woman and we have four children ages 17 to 3. I attended BYU and then Northwestern University. I am a California licensed funeral director, but currently live in the Pittsburgh area and work as a funeral industry consultant in Ohio, western Pennsylvania and upstate New York.

Why I am a Mormon

The church has been a positive influence to me for many years. Its teachings have enriched my life, and that of my family. I would hate to imagine what direction my life would have taken had I not known about the hope that comes through the Savior's atonement his plan of happiness for me that focuses on temple covenants and living forever with my family.

How I live my faith

I have responsibility for the spiritual progress of the young men ages 12-18 in my congregation. We meet weekly with my assistants on Wednesday evenings for a lesson and service or sports activity, and then on Sundays as part of our regular church services where we learn how to be better sons, brothers, friends and disciples of Christ.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Scott
We do not worship Joseph Smith, or any other prophet ancient or living. We revere Joseph Smith for the work he was called to do in restoring the Lord's priesthood to the earth, and honor his memory in dying for the cause of Mormonism. However, we worship God our Eternal Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
