Hi I'm Jason Hogge

Loving living life as an artist, programmer, korean linguist, jack of trades. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm from a family of 5 - my parents, myself, and my younger brother and sister, whom all go to church each week. I have lots of interests--learning Japanese, watching cartoons of all kinds, being a computer programmer, and exploring electronics. I always enjoyed taking things apart, especially when they already had broken so i didn't have to put them back together - we once owned a flat-screen tv until in a jumproping accident it damaged the screen. Things like that, or remotes, or toys like rc copters, many things are fun to take apart just to see the inner workings. In a few months, I will begin learning how to use art and math in computers. I've always enjoyed brain games from solving those kind of practical problems, and then seeing something you're working on just come to life and begin functioning like planned. I can't imagine what it must've been like for god to create the world and us, to see us come to life and then feel joy from seeing his creation function as he imagined. And I don't doubt god sees us now, and feels joy in seeing us be strong, learn, and do what's right. I also love learning about cultures, languages, I enjoy drawing, playing piano, and building stuff like sand castles, mini golf courses, whatever sounds fun for everyone. Nowdays I study the gospel like a scientist of religion and then sharing it with others in Korean. I'm blessed to become friends with many great people and see their belief in Jesus Christ help them grow to become strong.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm showing other people how to live a life of lasting happiness that will lead them to the gates of heaven after this life. The whole purpose for me to serve others, is to show them throught love like Jesus Christ showed, how to live a life to be not only happy now but after death too. I know that is done through the restored and complete gospel of Jesus Christ, who is truly the son of god, and who died for us to be able to live happily after the grave. There are great mysteries to be learned from endeavoring to understand this gospel - i've come to find that the mormon church is full of incredible, happy, and wise people whom have the means to communicate with god and use any blessings he gives them for the benefit of mankind. I aspire to be one of those individuals, to understand mysteries of life and how we can communicate with god best and thus live life best and to it's fullest. Who wouldn't want that?

How I live my faith

I'm now serving a mission, and i'm almost to the end of my planned service time, and have done a lot of good in the world i believe. Right now i am out and about in the world teaching our beliefs to many different people every day and online. I have a calling to invite others to come unto Jesus Christ and learn about him. Before i devoted 2 years to this mission, I served with boy scouts and a local youth group in order to benefit those in my community. I plan to return home and continue serving others because I really enjoy it.
