Hi I'm Taylor Smith

I love me some sports, chillin without an agenda, and being a missionary in Cali......and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Im 20 years old! Super chill, love going with the flow and ending up where ever life takes me. Im a big athlete, i love to play and watch all sports, but most of all football and basketball.....thats where its at! I played in high school both sports and loved every second of it, especiallly chillin with the fellas after practices and games! I love hanging out and just chillin with the loved ones in my life.....Nothin can beat that! I want to be a dentist one day so i can work 4 days a week, golf alot, and spend alot of time with my future wife and kids! Im currently serving a mission in Carlsbad California and loving every second of it, there is definitely nothing i could be doing better with my time back home.

Why I am a Mormon

Well i was raised in the church and went to church every week and read my scriptures and did all i was suppose to be doing. That lasted until i went into high school, i still was going to church but i tried to use any excuse i could to not go! My priorities changed during that three year period from family and church to sports and girls and all that stuff that comes with highschool. I would still go to church and seminary but i really wasnt there....i would be thinking of the game we had later on that day, or what fun thing me and my buddies were going to do over the weekend, while in the mean time i was missing out on all the blessings of the spirit and testimony in my life. Then came my big test when me and a few of my buddies moved in together and went down to college. Without my parents testimony and influence there to help me along i started to fall fast, and suddenly realized that my life was pretty rough and not even close where i wanted it to be....sure i was having fun, but let me tell ya that didnt bring any happiness! During this time i had a lot of my good buddies that were getting ready to leave on their missions, and when i would hang out with them and see and feel their good influence it made me happy, and made me want to change! One of them would always ask me "man are you going to go on a mission?" Without a doubt i would always have an excuse! Because i never wanted to serve a mission...I didnt even have a testimony at that point, But because of their influence i gave it some thought. Then every night he would text me and tell me to read the book of mormon and i would always be doing something or just blow it off! But one night i decided to read and it continued for a while till i read consistently for a few weeks, and looking back, the spirit, the peace, and the happiness the book of mormon brought into my life changed me completely. And that to me was and is the biggest testimony that this was the right path for me in my life.

How I live my faith

Im currently living my faith by serving as a missionary for the Church in California.
