Hi I'm Janice

I am a financial auditor, I have two sons and three grandchildren and love to travel and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born during WWII to loving parents, two sisters, and a brother. When I was 9 I moved to New Zealand. That was an exciting time. We rode horses to school. Our dad built our home. Life was so different there. In 1955 my family moved to America. What, with the traffic on the wrong side of the road, and the expressions (Hot dog! Cool Cat!--I had no clue what they were talking about), I married an Englishman, had two sons, and now I have three grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

The best decision that I made was when I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1978. I decided to join after my brother invited my family to a Family Home Evening (a night spent with family playing games and discussing the gospel). We had so much fun, and I knew that was for my family. Now, the Church is like my second family. Everyone is so nice and caring. I know without a doubt that Jesus Christ loves each one of us. He knows us individually and by name. He atoned for our sins, he died on the cross so that we might live again. He gave us free agency to choose right from wrong. He wants the best for us, and that is why he gave us the scriptures-- a guideline to set our lives. If we follow the guidelines, we will find peace and happiness.

How I live my faith

I have been the enrichment leader, which is the person who plans crafts and speakers to enlighten the creative side of our women. We had a lot of fun! Now, I am in Compassionate Service, where I visit the sick and the lonely, and help in community projects. I welcome new sisters to our ward.
