Hi I'm Renee

I'm a mom, I'm a runner, I'm an all around fitness junkie, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married to my wonderful husband for 23 years. We have three children, two of which are currently serving missions. After surviving cancer, I decided I needed to take better care of myself. I began running and working out regularly. I now run half marathons! I love healthy cooking, and finding ways to make healthy food better. I am a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

Im a Mormon because I know this is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The first time I stepped into a church building I felt as though I was home. As I learned the the gospel of Jesus Christ I felt as though I was remembering, not learning something for the first time. As a wife and mother I have faced difficult challenges, my faith in Jesus Christ has carried me through every trial. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I have not only learned who I am, but that I am of value to my Heavenly Father. I know that that he has a plan for not only me, but all of his children. I know that he sent his son so that all of his children could return to him. I know that my Heavenly Father wants me to be happy and has provided a plan so that I can be happy. As I read the scriptures and pray I have come to know the Savior of the world, I have felt his love, and it has made all the difference in my life. I know Jesus is the Christ, and this is his restored church, and that is why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I teach an early morning "Sunday School" to kids between the ages of 14 - 18, Monday through Friday. It is such a wonderful blessing to study the scriptures with teenagers. I am sure I learn more from them than I am able to teach. I love their enthusiasm, their faith is contagious! Two of my children are serving full time missions. My oldest daughter is serving in the Jacksonville Florida Mission, and my only son is serving in the Pocatello Idaho Mission. I miss them both every day, but I wouldn't have them miss a day of their missions to have them home. It is such a blessing watching them not only mature, but grow spiritually. They love the people they are serving, and are serving those people with their whole hearts. I run an average of 30 miles a week. I do not run a step with out praying first, I pray while I run as well. Running is a time for me to commune with my Father in Heaven. I run because it is a time for me to be with my Heavenly Father and feel his love for me.
