Hi I'm Christian

I grew up in Germany. I have a passion for guitar and music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Germany and spent 17 years there because of my dad's work. I attended German school from Kindergarten to eighth grade and then the DODDS Heidelberg High School. I graduated in 2012 and then studied for one semester at Brigham Young University. I loved my roommates and the friends I made at BYU, and the overall independent experience. I've played the guitar since I was 14 and love to create and listen to music. Among my favorite bands are Bright Eyes, Radiohead, Lydia, and the Lumineers. I play soccer. My favorite book is "Into the Wild" by Jon Krakauer. I love the outdoors and the state of Montana, especially Missoula. I've climbed the Zugspitze, the tallest mountain in Germany. I was recently called to serve as a missionary of Jesus Christ in the California Roseville mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe Joseph Smith was a prophet who restored the gospel in this era. I believe in the Book of Mormon as evidence of that restoration. I have read it and have come to know it as the genuine word of God through prayer. I have felt the reality of my Savior in my life. I know that I am not perfect, but I also know in whom I have trusted. Christ is the center of my faith and I want to follow him.

How I live my faith

Honestly, living my faith is a struggle, but I have to believe that I can better myself day by day. Right now I'm serving a mission to share the good news of Jesus Christ. It can be hard, but the hope is to lose myself in the work and become the Christian I was meant to be.
