Hi I'm Alyse Nelson

I am the oldest of six children. A lover of tee shirts, flip flops and ice cream. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! I'm Alyse. I am the oldest of six kids. As a child I was not a fan of that fun fact. But I have come to realize how much of a blessing being the oldest is and how much it truly does describe me as a person. I love my family-- immediate and extended and my home ward family. I love music but am not musically inclined. I am a firm believer in thank you cards, comfy sweatshirts, pictures, peanut butter M&M's and football. I attend BYU-Idaho and love it! And most recently have been called to serve as a missionary in the Tegucigalpa Honduras Mission. I am humbled and excited to serve the people of Honduras!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have received countless personalized witnesses of the reality of Jesus Christ as our Savior, of the divinity of the Book of Mormon. I have knelt in prayer and asked my Father in Heaven if the words of the Book of Mormon and Prophets are true and have felt without a shadow of doubt of their eternal truthfulness. I find peace and strength when I read from the Book of Mormon and pray to my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through serving others and sharing the peace and hope that faith in Christ offers. I currently teach the young women in ward how to increase their faith and sense of individual worth through the struggle of discovering themselves.
