Hi I'm (Elder) Alex Bennett

I am currently serving as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Boise, Idaho mission.

About Me

A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, a child was born in the great city of Logan, UT. When he grew into adulthood he became a tennis legend, dashingly attractive, and could school you at the Playstation. He was so good as marketing and sales that he could sell you a snowcone in the middle of a blizzard. He also had such a good metabolism that he could eat Pop-tarts all the time and not die from their unhealthyness. He even experienced the Siberian country of Russia and learned some Russian while he lived there. Don't challenge him to a game of Just Dance because he'll dance your socks right off and show you who your daddy REALLY is. He attended an FBI Leadership training when he was only 15 years of age, certainly evidence of his passion for justice. His home-made chocolate chip cookies are unmatched in deliciousness. Bath-Salt Zombies in Florida, watch out, because this man knows how to survive a Zombie Apocolypse. Climbing the Red-Rocks of Dixie was not a intimidating feat for him, in fact he invented the term "dare-devil". Women throng to meet this highly handsome creature and bear him with gifts. He was the best Uncle that the world has ever seen, for all of you ladies wondering if he is good with children, wonder no more. This very interesting man.... is me, and I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am so grateful for my parents and the example and foundation that they have set for me. My mom is my best friend and we have been through a lot together and have have very fun times hanging out. She has always encouraged me to follow the commandments and be the best I could be ever since I was a little boy. My dad is a convert to the church at age 19 and has been a faithful member ever since. He has worked 30 years in Law Enforcement to provide for our family and has spent countless hours helping others. He has always been understanding and willing to listen. With that support and reinforcement from my parents and siblings, I was able to serve in callings of the church, receive my Eagle scout, have friends who had righteous values, serve a full-time mission, and become a more commited Priesthood holder. From the examples of my brothers and sisters, I strive to have eternal family relationships and be a good father and husband.

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I received a call to serve in the Novosibirsk Russia mission which I accepted and served for close to eight months. For medical reasons, I returned to the states and had a leave of absence, if that's the correct term. I wanted to continue to serve God and His children, to let them know the joy that comes from living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I worked on healing and getting to the point where I could finish my full-time mission commitment. On June 20, the same day I originally flew to Russia to serve, I was then flying to the Boise, Idaho mission, reassigned, dedicated, and ready to serve as a missionary once again. There were definately trials as I went through the experience of coming home and the medical struggles that I had, but like the "Foot-prints" poem that you are all probably familiar with, my Savior, Jesus Christ, "carried" me through those times of "refining fire". In retrospective, I have learnd so much from my trials and become closer to my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, and my family.
