Hi I'm Madeline

I am one of 5 children. I enjoy sports, singing, and teaching. I am serving in the France Paris mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently studying Elementary Education at Brigham Young University and am loving every minute of it. I am the second oldest of the kids in my family and have three younger sisters. One sister is currently serving in the Spain Barcelona Mission! My siblings are my best friends. I enjoy playing every sport and trying new things. I have played soccer since I was 3 & 1/2 years old and played throughout high school. I also participated in other sports such as basketball and track. Unfortunately, I suffered from two major knee injuries (tearing my ACLs) my sophomore and junior years in high school. Recovering from each surgery & going through months of physical therapy each time was definitely tough, but made me stronger in the end. I learned so much from my experiences and grew closer to my Heavenly Father as I relied on him for help and strength. I love taking pictures, writing, listening to all different kinds of music, and singing. I moved around a lot growing up, but I've met great people and have had the opportunity to reconnect with most of them out here at school. I am so blessed and owe everything I have and that I am to my Savior Jesus Christ. My parents are incredible and have always supported me in everything I have done. Knowing I am a daughter of God and having the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life has blessed in me in ways I can't describe.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents raised me and my siblings in the gospel. My mother was raised in the church and my father is a convert. I am so grateful for my parents and for all they do for me. I feel so blessed to have been raised in the gospel and to have been taught at a young age that I truly am a daughter of God. Having that knowledge has helped me through hard times and brings me joy, knowing I have a purpose and plan here on Earth.

How I live my faith

I am serving as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for a period of 18 months in the France Paris Mission. I am so excited for this amazing opportunity and am eager to share the joy and blessings of the gospel with the people I meet. I live my faith by living the standards given to us by our church leaders and do my best to grow closer to Christ by serving others, reading my scriptures and praying daily. I know that we are able to find true happiness by keeping God's commandments and by developing a strong relationship with him through daily prayer and scripture study.
