Hi I'm Katelyn

I have searched far and wide. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was going to school to study to become a Registered Nurse and then head off to medical school to become a family physician. I love meeting and getting to know new people. I also love animals of all kinds. I like to go swimming, hunting and fishing when I am not working. I was the oldest in my family until my mother got remarried. I have three sisters and two brothers. I love my family very much. I am the only Latter-Day Saint member of my family, but some day that will change. I hope someday we can be an eternal family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I realized that Jesus and God were real. My mother never pushed religion on us so I went looking from ever religion out there to find God. One day in my 8th grade year I was currently going to a Southern Baptist Church we were learning scriptures from the bible to compete in competitions with others. I came across a scripture in the bible 2 timothy 3:12 and it says "Yea, and all that live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." At the time the Mormon population was and still is being persecuted. Which got my thinking the only ones who are getting treated sickly are Mormons no one else is getting fused about not being right. So I took the lessons and came to know that Baptism was my next choice when I came up from the water I felt clean every sin down to the tiniest ones were washed away. When I was confirmed I could feel the power the people had as they lay their hands on my head. I still feel the spirit even now after 5 years. I is great and wish other can feel it too. I will say the road that I took was hard and still is, but it was and still is wonderful because I know the lord, god and the Holy ghost are all there to help me through it and get me to see my heavenly father again someday. Because I am not only a Daughter, but also a child of god.

How I live my faith

I am a Cub Scout Den leader for Bears and Wolves these are kids who are from 7 to about 9 years of age in grades 2nd through 4th. I am also a Primary teacher for the Sunbeams which is children from the age of 4-6 years of age. I am also a visiting teacher in my area I visit and teach about 5-6 different people.

How does the Church finance its operations?

We are asked to pay 10% of our income which is called tithing by paying this small amount asked of us we see blessing, but not only us, but even one around us. Every member pays 10% from every check they receive then the church can use the money where it is needed where ever that maybe. Show more Show less
