Hi I'm Delacey

I'm a university student studying genetics and microbiology. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a big fan of being outdoors and you'll find me out in the sticks in every season. I'm not a particular type of music fan as there is so much to love; from Ella Fitzgerald to Mother Mother, it's just hard to pick sometimes. I am the 4th child out of 5 and I love being a part of a large family. Playing around with my nieces and nephews gives me a renewed appetite for life, Going to University is a wonderful part of my life as the human body and it's function just fascinate me. My other interests lie in esthetics, culinary arts, and a good action/espionage novel.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be raised in this Gospel since infancy and the time came that I needed to work and decide if what I had been lead to believe was right, was eternal truth. Sincere prayer to know and diligent study of God's scripture in the Bible and Book of Mormon has brought such deep feelings of peace, conviction, knowledge, joy and love that I can declare I know this church is true. The principles and doctrines are so simple and give such purposeful direction that I know my life would not be as full without. I choose to be a member of this church because there is nothing else like it in all the world. The saying goes that by the fruits of someones labor you will know what kind of person they are. So it goes with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Learn of and practice those principles found in this wonderful gospel and watch how God can make more of your life than you could ever on your own.

How I live my faith

As I sit in some of my classes I am astounded at the level of complexity that life on earth involves. I have no doubt that something bigger than us is behind each breath of life, mountain cliff, and deep sea landscape. I live my faith by learning of and being grateful for those things God has given to make our lives beautiful and the knowledge we have and have yet to gain. I currently serve in church as an Activities Co chair for a Young Single Adults Ward. We plan fun activities and short lessons each Monday evening for those adults who are away from home and we really do become our own little family. There is also opportunities for me to go with another member of the church to visit other sisters in our ward. We go to visit with them, teach and uplift one another in discussions of Christ;s Gospel, and serve them in any way we can. There is no better way for someone to come nearer to God our eternal father than to serve his children.
