Hi I'm Jeffrey Richardson

I'm blessed. I'm happy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Im currently serving in the Ohio Army National Guard as a (soon to be) UH-60 Black Hawk Pilot. I love to read, listen to music, spend quality time with my wife, the great outdoors and getting to know people! My favorite thing to do in the whole world is to read my scriptures. Family means so much to me and I cant wait to be a father of my own someday.

Why I am a Mormon

Because of my parents marriages, I grew up Mormon, Lutheran and Non-Denominational (Pentecostal Background). I enjoyed all my religious upbringings esp the Non-Denominational Church I went to in my mid teens to early twenties. I liked the Non-Denominational church because they believed in a 5-fold ministry (Prophets, apostles, evangelists, pastors and teachers, Eph 4:11). They also believed in Gifts of the Spirit (1 Cor 12). However, I did not like the fact that Apostles were not in a council and did not govern the church like the NT and also how there were thousands of Apostles and Prophets. I also did not like how people felt "called" to ministry positions but were never ordained and set apart by someone who had prior authority. On top of that I had questions like "how can I trace back someones authority to know they are valid?" "Why does God continue to create humans, knowing they can go to hell?" "Why do pastors govern a church, when in the New Testament, Apostles governed the Church?"... I had a ton more questions but those were just a few. Nevertheless, even though I had much respect for my church and ALL churches, I came to a point where I knew I was close to truth, but there had to be more. Long story short, God led me to the missionaries and eventually ALL my questions were answered. Today, through all four standard works and much prayer, I am closer to God than ever before and I know for certain that I am apart of the living New Testament Church on the earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith best by being sensitive to the Holy Ghost. I think its super important to not only accept, but to obey the teachings of Jesus Christ the best we can. By doing this, we can "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you." (James 4:8)

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Jeffrey Richardson
A testimony is given to someone, by God, through the Holy Ghost to know if something particular is true. When I was "carefully and prayerfully" reading the Book of Mormon to know if it was true, God manifested the truth of it unto me by the power of the Holy Ghost. Its something that is so raw and real and something you will never deny. This, is a testimony. Show more Show less
