Hi I'm Ashley

I am an artist, a cowgirl, a world traveler and a humanitarian. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I spent my childhood in Stansbury Park, Utah and Edgewood, New Mexico. I was home schooled all through elementary and middle school. I grew up riding and training horses. I have lived in Ecuador, Chile and Mexico. Now I am studying Fine Art and BYU. I am a photographer and I love to travel and meet people from all over the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the Savior, Jesus Christ. I grew up in a home where being part of a church family was always very important but I came to know for myself that God really loves his children. We are all his sons and daughters and as his children we have divine potential. Potential to do and create and become amazing things! He made this beautiful world for us to live in and learn from. The teachings of Jesus Christ help me understand my potential and act as a guide for me to become the very best person I can be. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

My favorite part about traveling, being a student and living away from home is that i am constantly learning new things about the world, about God and his plan for us. I meet many new friends in my travels who are all from very different backgrounds. Despite our differences, I always feel a special connection with these new friends that tells me that we are all part of God's family. My most recent travels took me to Valletta, Malta where I met an amazing couple from Scotland who run an English learning center for recovering refugees. I was so impressed by how they have dedicated their lives to helping others. Jesus Christ showed us by example that serving others brings us more joy than anything else and I know by experiences that this is true. The world is full of information and technology that makes life exciting and easy, but I know there is no replacement for meaningful relationships with God, family and friends. I love returning from my travels and sharing pictures an stories with my family and friends. I know that God created this beautiful world that we live in and because we are children, I believe that everyone of us has the same creative potential. I make art because when I am creating, I feel close to God. I feel like he helps me make beautiful things that can bring joy into others lives and help them feel him too.
