Hi I'm Spencer Worthen

I'm from Vegas. I play Volleyball. I am a MORMON!

About Me

I love to play trading card games. I love Volleyball. I am serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am the 2nd Child of 4

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were members of the Church when I was born, though the decision to be a member has always been my own. When I was 14 I was curious to know why so many people devoted their time and efforts to perserve the Church. My father has been an amazing example in my life. He, like the missionaries of the Church, asked me to pray about the Book of Mormon so that I can know for myself the truthfulness thereof. I have done so, now i am serving a mission to, as the children's himn says, "bring the world His truth."

How I live my faith

There are so many opportunities to be able to serve those in the community. With many opportunities in the Volunteer state I get an opportunity to inform the community more about the Book of Mormon, and share what is believed by those of the Church

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Spencer Worthen
This has been an issue of much consideration. How I have seen it is that women have been given a duty unlike anything a man can ever imagine (motherhood), and in order for a man to come equally on the scale we needed a responsibility so that we may equal to the power that women have naturally been given. Mormon women lead in the church by a loving hand, one that men only hope to emulate. In order for men to compensate for women's AWESOMENESS the Lord has given men a responsibility to take care of his wife and to learn to work as an equal partner. Show more Show less
