Hi I'm Alea

I'm newly married. I love laughing. I love sparkles. I love chocolate milk. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always aspired to be a wife and a mother.. to continuously be faithful and have a loving little family. I am so blessed to say that I recently was able to start that little family with the most wonderful man I know.

Why I am a Mormon

Some of my dearest friends and I coined the phrase "all I see is sparkles" in high school. We'd say it when one of us would apologize for our messy room, or messy car, or messy anything, really. It meant that we didn't care how messy something was, because all we cared about was being with each other. Long after graduation, I remember praying to my Heavenly Father and apologizing for being so... messy- for not doing things right that I knew I should have been doing right. And it occurred to me that my Heavenly Father and my Savior didn't mind that I had been messy. Because all they saw was sparkles. Jesus Christ knows everything about me. Everything. He is perfectly cognizant of every mistake I have made, but I know that he chooses to see my sparkles instead. He loves me because I am me, and he died for me and atoned for my sins so that I can one day see my sparkles too. I am a Mormon because this knowledge gives me comfort, and knowing that I am a daughter of God, and personally loved by the creator of this earth changes every aspect of my life, and gives me a strength that inspires me to face each day with faith, optimism, and joy.

How I live my faith

I had a young women's leader who would always say "I love Jesus more than [insert sin here]" I have kind of made that my mantra, really. I love Jesus more than I love being disobedient, and I try my hardest to remember that every day.
