Hi I'm Jasmine Lynes

I live my life in the fullest way I can. I love who I am and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jasmine and I've been a Mormon officially since I was eight. I was baptized when I was eight years old, which is the age of accountability in the church. I haven't had a perfect childhood and my life hasn't been either, but the church helped me through all my challenges and celebrations. I am currently attending college and practicing Mormonism at my local Young Single Adults Branch.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in a Mormon family, but to stay in the church has been my choice. I have had difficulties in my life, but I have always found comfort and love in the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Knowing that my Heavenly Father loved me so much that He gave His Only Begotten Son (John 3:16) comforts me through my life. "He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked." (1 John 2:6)

How I live my faith

I don't get a lot of chances to go to church on Sundays because of work, but I go to the Young Single Adults, or YSA activities as often as I can. That includes a lesson-based class every Wednesday called Institute and a friendly/family fun activity every Monday called Family Home Evening, or FHE for the young single adults (YSA's) who don't have a family yet to spend FHE with. I hope to go on a mission in the future, and I try to live the Gospel in my life everyday by showing kindness and using clean language and thoughts. I will admit, however, that I am not perfect. No one is. But I don't let that discourage me. I pray every night for help and blessings and I thank Heavenly Father every night for the wonderful things He's done for me. It's the least I can do to say thanks for my Heavenly Father.
