Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a good listener. I'm easy-going. I'm a mother and a grandmother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was never the type of person when I was young to be around those my age. Maybe that is because my mother was older. I remember when I was young I would visit a woman on our street and play Chinese Checkers. I love being around older people. I love helping the elderly. I love listening and sharing with them. They have the best life experiences to share. I love spending time with my grandchildren. It is amazing to watch them grow. I remember every inch of their lives and now they are all taller then me. I miss them being babies. I have a passion for cooking. I always have. I love to cook a multitude of different foods; Mexican, Chinese, Greek, and any other nationality I can find. I grow some of the best tomatoes. Yum! I am a member of The Cooking Club and love every minute of it. I have so many different pans, I can hardly keep track of them all.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I saw a commercial for a free DVD on the life of Christ. Two missionaries showed up at my door with my DVD and offered to have a Bible study. I agreed and things just went from there. I had a lot of changes to make, so it took me a while to finally join this church. Eventually, my eyes finally woke up one day and I knew Joseph Smith was a Prophet. I remembered when I was a little girl and my questions of where I came from. I had a distinct feeling that I had come from somewhere, but I had no idea where. I could never put my hand on an answer. I had very deep concerns about where I came from. This questioning allowed my eyes to be open to the Gospel and Gods eternal plan for us. Now I know where I came from and that I am a daughter of God. I am a Mormon because this is a beautiful religion. Its organization, the temples, the people. It is truly lovely. I enjoy it. I look forward to church every Sunday. Even my nonmember husband has noticed a difference in my life. I love this Gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing it. I try to find opportunities to share what I believe with those closest to me. I love the Gospel and want those around me to feel the happiness I feel. I read from the scriptures each day. Each morning I give gratitude to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ for my blessings. God and Christ have given me so much. Goodness only comes through Them. I pray more then just about anything else.
