Hi I'm Colby McBride
I'm a missionary, I love music, I love computers, Family is awesome, and I'm a Mormon.
I'm just another guy in the world. When I was very young, my parents got divorced, but I try everyday to not let this put me down. I enjoy computer animations, its one of my favorite hobbies. I love music. Music has been something that I'm very passionate about. It has been apart of my family for many years. Hopefully one day I can become better and improve my talents and be successful in life. My family is the most important part of my life. It served as a foundation upon which I could learn and grow. If I could spend all the time in the world with my family, I would. Having a family of my own is something I will always cherish. I was called to the Arizona Tempe Mission which had just split and I have been reassigned to the brand new Arizona Gilbert Mission.
Why I am a Mormon
I was actually raised in the Church, but I found as I was growing up that this was the place for me. That God wanted me to be here so I could grow up to be the best person he wants me to be. When I was in High School, I realized I didn't really understand why I was going to church or why I ever came. I guess I was really just going because my friends and family were going, and I struggled with this for the longest time. It wasn't until my Grandfather died, that I found I needed that connection. So I started reading the Book of Mormon and I started going to church for something real, I needed to truly know if this was for me. As I did this I found that my world was becoming a brighter place, I don't see things the same as I did before. I can stand today and say "I know the Book of Mormon is true!" Nothing can tear me away from this knowledge. Joseph Smith was and is a Prophet of God I have no doubt about that. If there is one thing that I love most is that I am a Mormon.
How I live my faith
The best way I show my faith is by how I act and serve around other people, cause you never no when your example will affect someone's day. I'm not a perfect person and I admit that at times I will slip up but that is where repentance will help me get back-up. I feel that just doing the best I can will be enough because the Lord makes up the rest. Another way I try to show my faith is by treating people the way Jesus Christ would treat them. Jesus Christ has this attribute where he just loves everyone, and that is an attribute I do my best exemplify the most.
