Hi I'm Darcy

I'm a small town girl living in a big city. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love live music, local festivals, trying new things, and being outside. My friends and family mean the world to me. I tend to keep life pretty simple outside of my full time work but do enjoy traveling in my spare time.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe Christ and want to follow Him. I have found that when I live my life according to His commandments, I have peace in my mind and my heart. He is the one constant in my crazy life of change. Through Him, I am more than I could be on my own. I'm so grateful for The Book of Mormon and revelation through modern-day prophets because they help me feel and become closer to Him. It is humbling to be part of a close community of Christians who also seek to do His will and serve others.

How I live my faith

Attending church every week helps me stay focused on my faith and what is really important to me. During the week, I enjoy attending a religion class to learn more about the life of Christ through the scriptures. Praying daily helps me feel close to God and seek His guidance in my life, and reading the scriptures helps me feel grounded.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

I love Alma's answer to this question, "...all things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator" (Alma 30:44). When I look around at the world, I am amazed at all the intricacies of existance, and the many details that align to sustain life! As I pause to take in all the beauty of the world, I also know God exists and wants us to enjoy life. More personally, peace my heart feels when I pray to God and I know He is there.
