Hi I'm Joel

I love being outside, smiling, and you guessed it, I´m a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the great state of Minnesota and love the outdoors. My hobbies include rock climbing, running, mowing the lawn, and people watching. I am the third of four kids and have the greatest parents ever. I was a missionary for two years in Chile and now as a student hope to do some good in the world. I married the love of my life last year and we try to found our marriage on principles of hard work, devotion to God, and love.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the I feel and know that this is the restored church of Jesus Christ. I learned from many great people as I grew up within the church but never really could tell you why until I knelt down and asked God if it was true. The answer didn´t come easy but as I studied and prayed I felt a confirmation that The Book of Mormon is true. As I continued to study that book, I also came to a knowledge that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that he knows me personally. My faith was strengthened and my testimony confirmed as I shared that message with the people of Chile for two years. I can now say with a certainty that this is all true. All you have to do is live it to know it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by applying the principles of the Gospel. As one of many imperfect people in the world I strive to keep the commandments but sometimes I fall short. I am grateful for the chance to repent and change on a daily basis. There is no better way to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ then by actually putting in practice what he left as a legacy. Christ suffered and atoned for each of us, but I know he also did it for me. I show my faith in him by applying that atonement in my life and inviting everyone to do so. I live my faith as an active member of his church and by sharing it with everyone I know.
