Hi I'm Blake

I'm from Idaho, USA. I'm a Eagle Scout. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy reading and spending time outdoors, camping, hiking and such. I am the oldest of five siblings and I enjoy every day with them and all the fun they bring into my life. As the oldest I've had the opportunity to see how my example has helped, and hindered, my families progress. I know that my example can touch the lives around me for the better, by being a follower of Christ I can show my light. That's why I am serving a full-time mission in the Richmond Virginia area. As a missionary, I teach others what Christ wants for all of us, the light and knowledge I have can bless so many, and that isn't something that should be kept hidden.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that what the Book of Mormon teaches is true, I know it's true without a shadow of a doubt. Sense I know this to be true, the rest of the teachings of the Church just fall into place if the Book of Mormon is true then Joseph Smith was a prophet called of God, therefor all of the revelation and teachings he set were from God. The truth is a sweet thing, and knowing that I can be with my family forever is why I can happily say I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I was born into the church so I grew up with it, I have always been one to help where needed. My eagle project was to repaint a green belt near my home that had faded and needed to be redone. This was a good experience because of all the help I recieved with so few phone calls, my church was there to help when I needed them. So I try and help out others when they need me, I would serve those who need service, and comfort those who need comfort. I do my best to be a light that Christ will approve of to those who seek him. I try to live my life in a way that those around me see Christ.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

I know there is a God because I have felt his precence in my life. He cares for me and guides me, and if you know what to look for you can see his touch in your life. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

You can know it's true the same way you find out something else is true, you go to the source and ask. To learn about science you go to a science teacher, to learn how to build a shed you go to a carpenture. To learn about God and Jesus Christ you go and ask them and those who know them. I know that what I've been taught as a mormon is true, that God the Father and Jesus Christ are the head of this church, all you need to do to find out for yourself is to ask if what you see before you is true. Ask and ye shall recieve, knock and it shall be opened unto you. Talk to the missionaries, you've probably seen them walking in your neighberhood, or riding their bicycles down the street. Stop them, they would love to answer any questions you have, and they can confirm the truth of what I know to be true. Show more Show less
