Hi I'm Hannah Arnold

I live in Georgia. I love my friends, family, and learning more everyday about the gospel of Jesus Christ. And I am a Mormon! :)

About Me

I love to read poems and almost any kind of book! I also like to cook, write, sing, play piano, tennis, and dance in the rain! I'm in 9th grade, and I just started homeschooling. I love being with my friends and family because they believe the same things I do, and they are really wonderful examples to me. I love the beach, parks, seeing new places, long walks in the morning, and snow!! My favorite place to be though, is the temple. It is the happiest, most beautiful, amazing place to be.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that is Mormon, so I was raised and taught the same standards and beliefs. I guess I always believed that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was true, but I never actually grew a testimony of my own until this past year. In this past year, I've been able to understand the strong power of prayer and scripture reading and temple work. This summer I was able to go to EFY, which is a church camp. It was one of the most amazing, spiritual experiences I've ever had. Every morning my group would have a group gospel study, and every morning my counselors would ask each one of us individually if there was something that we wanted them to pray for. Many people asked for help in their lives or for their family to be at peace. I was always too nervous to say anything, but as we all prayed together in our group, I asked that we would all feel the Spirit of God in our hearts that week. And just at that moment, when we were all praying together, I could feel it. I could feel His spirit there, touching our hearts. It was the best feeling. After that, I wanted that feeling with me always, and I did't want that wonderful sense of peace and happiness to leave. I love being able to feel that peace in my heart whenever I know that I'm doing the right thing. I know that this church is true, and I know now the power and strength of prayer and scripture reading. It has changed my life. I love this church, and I know it to be the truth. I know my Redeemer lives. I know that the gospel is true. I am a Mormon, and this is why.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith through the way I live. I go to church every Sunday and Wednesday, and I love to go to any of our youth activities. I try help my friends, both the ones who are members of our church or not, with anything that they might need because I care about them. I go to Seminary every morning with the other youth from our ward, also. Seminary is an early morning church class that we have every school day for High School students. I try my best to read my scriptures and pray everyday to keep my heart close to my Heavenly Father and understand His words. I love listening to peaceful music whenever I'm having trouble, too. I've found it really helps me to just stop, listen, and try to understand what's going on in my life. The greatest thing that helps me though, is being able to go to the temple with our youth. It clears my head from the troubles I may have, and I can always feel a peace and softness in my heart. I've found it really strengthens my testimony of the Living Christ and His gospel. It makes me want to try harder at the things that I do to be like Him. I know that praying and reading my scriptures everyday helps me to remember that and to keep me close to Him.
