Hi I'm Ashley

I'm an only child and I was baptized at age 21. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Ashley and I've been a Mormon for two years. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I'm outgoing and love to have fun. Since I joined the church I have made more friends then I ever imagined. I'm working on going back to college and working towards my career.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a non-religious home and was introduced to the Gospel at 21 by a co-worker who was preparing for his mission. He invited me to church with his family. After just one day at church I felt different, I couldn't believe how much my life had changed by letting God in for the 1st time in my whole life I was happy. I had no idea what joy was headed my way. I met with the Elders a couple weeks later and was baptized 13 days later. It was a fast transition, I had opposition from my family and my friends. But I became a member anyways. My life has changed more then I ever thought possible. I've seen the role The Lord has played in my life and how much I've changed because of the Gospel. I know the church is true and I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I recently left behind my Family Ward and YSA ward when I moved. It took me a month to attend my new YSA Branch. I didn't attend church for a month and I could tell a difference in my life. I was called as a FHE Assistant and that's helped me make friends in a new place. I have a strong testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel and I'm reminded everyday of the journey that got me here. I've had my challenges but I'm a better person because of them.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Ashley
A testimony is the knowledge we have that this church is true. Our testimonies are quite important and key to sharing the Gospel with others. We testify the truthfulness of the Gospel to others when we share our own personal testimony. Show more Show less
