Hi I'm Molly

I work with kids on the autism spectrum. Running, playing piano, and learning to sew are my favorite hobbies. I am Mormon!

About Me

In December of 2012 I graduated from college. Since then I have been working as a substitute teacher and am now working with students on the autism spectrum. On Saturdays I work as a cashier at Hobby Lobby. My favorite place to be is at home with my two dogs (Sadie the pug and Tango the corgi) and husband, and we plan on having children in the future. :) I love my friends and I love helping people. I love talking, laughing, and being downright silly (just ask my husband). Life has not always been easy for me, but I am so happy to be where I am today.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church and during my teenage years had a lot of struggles with depression and insecurities about the gospel. I had to come to know and accept the truth of the gospel on my own, even though my parents had always taught me that it was true. It brings such happiness and warmth into my life to know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and my elder brother, Jesus Christ, who understands my pains and trials. My Savior has made my burdens lighter during very trying times. The Lord can make all of our burdens lighter if only we ask of Him and demonstrate faith by following the Savior's example. I testify that He will bless us even during difficult periods in our lives if we but strive to be righteous and loving people. The Book of Mormon is true! Like the Holy Bible, it too testifies of Jesus the Christ and contains the writings of many prophets who loved and followed God. I know there is a prophet on the earth today and feel so blessed to be able to hear from him twice a year at General Conference. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith first of all by attending church weekly. I love attending the adult Sunday School lessons as well as Relief Society. At my church I am an Activity Day leader, which means I get to plan and implement spiritual lessons, crafts, games, and other activities for girls ages 8-9 on the first and third Wednesday of the month. With my husband I pray morning and night (most of the time... now and then we forget!), and we love to read from the scriptures together. I also read and pray alone for personal reflection. On Monday nights I have family home evening with my husband so that we can have time to focus on the gospel together. We also love to feed the missionaries when we can. I make a LOT of mistakes and some days I realize that I can't count many improvements I need to make in myself -- but with the Lord's guidance, the strength He gives me, and the Atonement provided by Jesus Christ, I know I can become closer to my Father in Heaven and return to Him.
