Hi I'm Chandler

Hey, friends. I love you. Guitar playing is fun. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have played soccer, basketball, lacrosse, football, rugby, and baseball throughout high school. I play the guitar and am in a couple indie rock/folk bands. Camping is fun. Friends, family, food, and fun times. I am a freshman in college. I like to play things, like games and instruments. I'm still trying to figure out if I have mental health issues. Riddles and puzzle games get me excited. Everyone likes to learn and use their brain, right? There are a lot of beautiful places and interesting people in this world and I want to see more of them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and grew up in an active family. I had always believed that it was true because my parents and family members had known it. I did not find out for myself why I wanted to live according to the church until recently. I have not lived in accordance with the gospel my whole life. As so many people without the gospel say, " I felt something missing..." By having faith that everything I've been taught in church throughout my life, I decided to not take it lightly and strive to be righteous. I have felt so much happiness in my life and have been so blessed in my life because of this gospel. I have strengthened my relationship with God and with his son Jesus Christ, and those changes have made a huge difference in my life. I have felt the spirit testify truths of the gospel to me and have experienced so much happiness from the scriptures. I want to be with my family I have now forever, and I want to have what my parents have in their relationship. To be filled with the spirit and live happily with my own family forever is the most beautiful thing I can imagine because of the small part of that which I have experienced on this earth so far.

How I live my faith

I served a mission in Alaska, which means devoting all your time, talents and efforts to bring others the gospel for 2 years. These days I try to serve others often because I know I am serving God by doing so. I try to live my life as Jesus did when he was on the earth.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's one true church on the earth. The same church that was on the earth in biblical times, the same church that Christ established during his ministry on the earth. This one true church was taken off the earth after Christ was crucified and his apostles were killed. Years later, Joseph Smith was chosen by God to restore that same church on the earth and to be the prophet. He was given directions from God of how to establish the gospel, along with the correct power and authorithy to direct and organize the church. That same authority has been passed down to the prophet today that holds all the keys to lead the church. Show more Show less

What is the Church’s position on abortion?

We believe in the sacred nature of life and our divine destiny. God has a plan for all of his children and it is up to Him when His children enter and leave this earth. Through prayer we know. In most cases, abortion is wrong and is not permitted. There are cases such as rape or when the health of the mother is in danger, where it is appropriate. Show more Show less
