Hi I'm Kamrie

I grew up San Diego, CA. I love to sing and go running. I teach Kindergarten. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and with children. As a Kindergarten teacher, I like to say that my day is filled with little miracles. :) I love to run and enjoy training for long runs - I completed my first half marathon this spring! I love watching movies and being outside.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon Church), and although this is why I was exposed to the church at an early age, that is not why I am a Mormon. I am a Mormon because through the teachings from the Bible and Book of Mormon, I have come to know who Jesus Christ is, who God is, and who I am in relation to them. And for me, that has changed everything.

How I live my faith

I love that the gospel of Jesus Christ encourages me to make my faith and belief in God and Jesus Christ a part of my daily life. I strive each day to base my decisions on what God and my Savior would have me do. Currently I serve as a group leader for a group of young adults at my church. Each Monday night we get together to have a short lesson on things we can do to strive to become more like the Savior, these lessons usually come from the scriptures (Bible and Book of Mormon) and from words from our Modern Day prophets. We also have some kind of activity to just get to know each other and have fun! There is usually always food involved! :) I also serve as a "Visiting Teacher." This means that me and another woman in my church are called to visit, at least once a month, a few other women in our church to make sure they are doing ok. This includes strengthening them spiritually and emotionally, cooking meals for them if needed, and providing any other service they may stand in need of.
