Hi I'm Randy Gonzalez

Im a fun loving So Cal boy, I love music, I love going out with my friends, I love to dance and Im a MORMON! :)

About Me

Well my name is Randy and Im from Southern California. Im 21 years of age and currently serving a full time mission in KENTUCKY! Spanish speaking!!! Before I came out on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I did and accomplished many things. I played on my High school football team, in high school as well I became a peer counselor for three years. By my junior year of high school I became what we would call a Fire explorer which is basically somone under the age of 18 years of age who is a volunteer Fire fighter striving to be one in the future and did that for two fire Departments at once for two years. Im a convert to the church at a younger age and sadly left the church around the same time. Later in my later teens, through some rougher experiences and wanting more meaning out of life, I came to fully understand the lords gospel and I personally have felt the love the lord has for me. Because of this change of heart in my life I have grown to know more about myself and what I am passionate about. Through my faith in Jesus Christ in his restored gospel I have grown to love to help others, to love music, dancing, and singing very passionatly. Overall I just love to have a great time and meet new people! :)

Why I am a Mormon

Im a mormon because in my own life I have seen the healers art. Like Ive said I was baptized in my younger teens and when I was learner of the Church I always felt this overwhelming joy and peace in my heart. It just felt like something just wanted to jump right out of me because of the overflowing feeling of love and happiness that filled my soul. I prayed to know for myself if it was true and waiting for a response to my prayer I allowed to ponder and reflect on the decision I was making and the same feeling came back to me and something within me told me it is true. After that experience I was baptized. At that time I was still fully trying to understnad all that I had been taught and how to apply it more fully into my life and trying to build my testimony and shortly there after many trials in my life came and drove me away from attending church. After years of well, to put it simply being absent of the truth and the spirit I began to live a life I really wasnt happy with and I felt empty inside, but that didnt stop me from the life I was living. Until one day when I was 16 years of age I got news through other friends that a good friend of mine past away in an accident. I was shocked, left speechless. I remember feeling alone. I knew it was his fault that he was gone because of his actions of being reckless and wanting better for my own life because I knew he wanted that for himself and now hes gone. After that I went to EFY which to be honest with you, at the time I didnt want to go. I wanted to be left alone and mourn for my friends passing away, but Im glad I went. To tell my long story short of my EFY experience, I prayed so sincerely to be comforted by my savior and if he was really there to please take away my sorrow and right after my simple sincere prayer.....my whole body was hit with a wave trickling all over my body of peace and joy. The same feeling I had when I prayed to know if this church it true. I know he loves me and he loves you to. :)

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my very best each day to be an example for the world of the lords teachings. I have the awesome opportunity to be serving a full time mission which has shown me so much more of being that great example unto the world. Becoming a full time missionary has shown me how to truly apply the gospel in my life and to greatly appreciate all the blessings that we are entitled to if we do the fathers will. It has brought me so much more closer to my father in heaven and my savior Jesus Christ. Everyday on the mission allows me to more fully understand the atonement and what my savior has done for me. That brings the spirit into my life and it comforts me in my time of need and invites peace and happiness into my life. I testify of Christ Jesus that he is our savior and our redeemer. That he is our advocate to the father. I know my heavenly father loves me because I have seen his love in my life help me through things that I never thought I could overcome and I have a very strong testimony of the power of prayer that our father in heaven is listening to ours prayers and is waiting and willing to help us if we just give him thanks for what we do have and ask for the strength to help us out when we need it. He wants to bless us, but we must do our part as well and act on our faith. :)
