Hi I'm Andrew

I grew up in Chilliwack B.C. Canada, and am Currently a Dentist in Salmon Arm B.C., Canada

About Me

I am a very busy person. I am a dentist, I am a husband and a father of 3 beautiful children, and I am also serving as the Elder's Quorum President. Between my school, family and calling there is little time for much else, however if I can find the time, I love to write music. I enjoy almost any outdoor activity, Playing soccer, biking and swimming, but mostly I love watching my kids get older, and begin to make their own decisions.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon for a number of reasons. First I have to thank my parents for showing me the way to be happy in my life. Secondly I have to thank my parents again for making sure that I did not rely on their faith forever, but that early in my life they let me make decisions and mistakes so that I could know what was true for myself. That is how I started in the church, but I remain in the church because it makes sense. I have lived my live following the commandments of our saviour Jesus Christ, and found that I am happiest when I am sticking to my principles. When I waiver even in little ways, I can see the difference. My faith has been tested on a number of occasions, and the more I am tested the more I can lean on my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ and continue to find happiness. I know that the Book of Mormon, along with the Bible, are the word of God. I know that today there is a Prophet of God on the earth that leads and guides all who would come unto christ. I know that I am literally a spirit child or God and I have a wonderful relationship with my Father. I also know that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins, and that only through him can we truly find happiness in this life and in the next.

How I live my faith

Because life is so busy right now, and most of my focus needs to be on my young children and my practice. I try to live my faith throughout my day by working to make sure that people can see Christ in me. Basically I don't go throughout my life with a mission to convert everyone, or a mission to be the best at everything. Really my goal is simple when it comes to my faith, I want every interaction I have with others, church members, patients or just the grocery clerk, to be positive. If my interactions with others can in someway bring them closer to Christ, then that is what my Saviour has asked of me.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Andrew
I sure hope so. I managed to find a woman that is incredible, and I cannot think of anything better than spending eternity with her. We were married in a Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, through the priesthood, we were sealed together for time and eternity, not just "till death do you part." It also brings great joy into my life that my children are also sealed to us, and that our entire family can be together forever, Heaven without them would not be heaven at all. Show more Show less
