Hi I'm Danielle

I'm an Oregonian. I'm a lover of art. I'm a student at BYU. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to learn. I take any chance I have to grasp knowledge. Art History is my topic of choice. I love learning about the changes that have taken place in history and seeing their direct effect on a specific part of culture through the changes in art. I also love to sing and teaching others how to best use their voice. I have been going to BYU for two years. I am currently preparing to enter the MTC and serve a mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up in the church. One of my first childhood memories comes from church. I was young sitting in sacrament meeting where I decided to slip from my seat down to the floor of the chapel so I could look at all the feet in the large room. Yes, I was taught these principles from a very young age yet I still had to find my own personal understanding of this church. I recall a time in my life when I would smile and pretend to know and understand all the things taught in church, yet inside I had questions. Was I really going to be with my family for eternity? What about my nonmember friends and family? Will I see them again? Is there a God? Does Jesus truly love me, a nobody? Will my prayers truly be answered? Through prayer, scripture study, and fasting I learned the answer to these questions and many more. I learned that this church is the true church of Christ on this earth. I learned that in my Father's eyes I was an important, beautiful, special woman. I learned that answers to my prayers will always come. These answers may not be what was desired or wished, they may not come the way expected, yet they will come. I have developed a testimony of my Jesus Christ. I know he gave his life so that I may repent of my sins and return to live with my Father in heaven who cares for me, Danielle. I learned to have faith. Why am I Mormon? Because I believe in the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

For years I have always sought to be an example to others through my actions. Any time I have had the opportunity to bring up what I believe in I take that chance to bear my testimony of Christ. When I turned 20 years old last year I decided I needed to serve a mission. Recently I have been living my faith in preparing for that mission. Soon I shall be entering the MTC to serve in the Mesa Arizona mission. I look forward for this chance to share this church with others. Many times I had been asked why I decided to serve a mission. The answer is simple. I love the Lord. That is why I have a desire to share this love with others.
