Hi I'm Whitney Mecham

I grew up in Pleasant Grove, Utah. I love working with children with disabilities and feeling their love. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Whitney and 21 years old. I love to laugh and just simply be happy! I have grown up learning and living the Gospel in my home and have come to love it for myself :) I have a wonderful family with loving parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. They are the greatest! I have recently been called on a mission to serve my Savior and I can't wait! I love working with children and dream of being a Speech Therapist some day! This all started when my darling little brother was born with Down Syndrome. I am forever grateful for that. I love to read, cook, bake, create, learn new things, be myself and I can never get enough of singing super loud in the car to my favorite songs. I love this Gospel and truly with all my heart don't know where I would be without it!

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the opportunity to grow up in the Gospel. I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. There is nothing that makes me as happy as the Gospel of Jesus Christ and everything that it offers me. I continue to follow my Savior Jesus Christ because I know he lives. I haven't had one huge experience in my life where I know he lives, rather little confirmations and quite peaceful messages from the Holy Ghost baring witness to me that Jesus is the Christ and He loves us and that we have a father in Heaven watching out for us day by day. I continue to follow because I love my Savior and know that it is through him that I am made whole. I love this Gospel with all my heart. It is my light and my beacon. I am a Mormon because I know it's true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being actively engaged in my family activities. I live my faith by actively participating in my calling in the Ward. I have the wonderful opportunity to teach the children in my ward and to feel of their goodness and warmth as they share their testimonies with me. I getting ready to leave and serve a mission and I couldn't be more excited and thrilled! Serving and living the gospel is something that has always made sense to me. When i do it, I'm happy.
