Hi I'm Aimee

I am stay-at-home mother of five. I love music, reading, and finding outlets for my creativity. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My life right now is dominated by raising my five children. Being a mother is a tough, but fulfilling job. I love the moments of pure joy that permeate the otherwise crazy days. I do find time to pursue some of my own hobbies such as music, reading, and finding outlets for my creativity through crafts and sewing. I also enjoy traveling, playing with my family, and learning new things.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon. My faith and understanding of church doctrines and teachings of Jesus Christ always provided me with a solid foundation and sense of self and purpose. I knew I was a daughter of God and that He loved me and cared about my life. That has given me strength in hard times and direction in my life. The more I have learned and studied and lived the doctrines of the church, the more I realized they are true. I've found happiness here. Most importantly, I have an understanding of a much greater plan that God has for us. It helps me be able to set my priorities to the things that really are most important and fulfilling: my family, serving others, increasing my knowledge, and my relationship with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. My life isn't perfect, but I'm happy.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a daily endeavor and really touches all aspects of my life. Prayer is a small part, but how I treat others, how I spend my time, and what I try to teach my children. I haved served in a variety of ways in my local congregation from working with children and youth to playing the piano and organ. I currently work with the women in our ward by helping to organize classes that help strengthen their faith, teach them new skills to help increase their self-reliance, and help strengthen their families. We also organize opportunites for service in the local community. Interacting with women of all ages has been fun for me. I've learned a great deal and have drawn strength from their experiences and just having friends to talk with. I also serve as a visiting teacher where I have the assignment to watch over several women in our ward to make sure they are doing well and have all their needs met. Through this program, I have developed some wonderful friendships as we meet together to share, learn, and grow together.
