Hi I'm Michael Visker

I was born and raised in Kansas. I love my family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a small family. I enjoy camping, hiking, and playing sports. My favorite sports are basketball, tennis, and volleyball. I love to spend time with my friends and try new things. I am adventurous and down to earth. I recently graduated high school, and now I'm preparing to serve a 2 year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

When i was a young teenager I was struggling with who I was. I was searching for true happiness and i wanted to find something that would comfort my heart. I started making friends that didn't have very high standards. I started participating in things that i didn't feel was the best for me. I was searching for this comfort that my heart so desperately needed. When i was 16 years old i went to a youth camp for my church called EFY. It's safe to say that this camp changed my heart. I clearly understand now that I am a child of God. That He loves me and wants the best for me. He sent His son Jesus Christ to save me from my sins. The love, grace, and mercy that God has for all mankind is infinite and never-ending. I am a Mormon because I know with all my heart that this Church is Jesus Christ's Church. He has a Modern day prophet, President Thomas S Monson. President Monson is God's mouthpiece. I am getting ready to set aside two years of my life to go out and share this message with anyone who will hear my voice, The message that Jesus Christ lives. He Loves us. He wants us to be happy. He is ahead of this church.

How I live my faith

I love to help people through service. I go to church regularly and i find myself happiest when I'm at church or serving others. I have been in positions where I get to teach families and friends about my church and express my love for Jesus Christ. I've had responsibilities at my school where I organized service projects and multiple blood drives. I have also helped plan and organize youth camps and service opportunities for youth in my area.
