Hi I'm Abel

I grew up in Denmark. I am youngest of 10. And I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in Denmark, went to school and graduated from High school there. When I graduated I moved to the United States where I studied at Brigham Young University. The university that I had been dreaming about attending my entire life. I really enjoy attending college because I have the opportunity to interact with many people my age who are engaged in their educations and really want to study and work hard and be successful in life. I also enjoy watching football and basketball. I have learned that the best way to spend my time is with my family. I have never regretted spending a weekend at my sisters house and watching movies and playing games with my nieces and nephews. It is so rewarding to spend time with family. My family is truly what I cherish most, which is why I want a family of my own someday. I really want to make a difference in the world. Changing the world for good starts with my family. But I also want to increase in knowledge and understanding so that I can be a force for good.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Church is true. I know that the same Church that Christ organized when He was on the earth has been restored to the earth by Joseph Smith. I grew up in the Church and I was baptized when I was 8. Throughout my life I have experienced difficulties and hardships. It is in these moments, especially, that I have realized the Love that Jesus Christ and God have for me. The way that I came to learn of the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ was through the Book of Mormon. I have read this book and I know it to be true. I know it to be true because I have felt the spirit in me so strongly when I have studied the Book of Mormon. It has given me an incredible knowledge of Jesus Christ and God. By studying this inspired book I have learned how I can have true happiness in my life. And by applying the principles I have felt that happiness in my life every day. Without this Church on the earth today, which is the Church of Jesus Christ, I would never have been able to have the same gratifying happiness that has come into my life by following the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday I attend church where I learn how I better can live my life and be an example to people around me. Church attendance is so vital if my week is going to be good. Listening to members at Church and around me who share what they know to be true and how living the gospel has blessed their lives, inspires me and gives me the desire to be a better person. Throughout the week I try my best to do what Christ taught and what he would have me do. I also live my faith by avoiding things that are unhealthy such as alcohol and tobacco. I have noticed that by avoiding unhealthy substances and the addictions that follow I am more happy throughout the week. And I am able to think more about others and forget myself.
