Hi I'm Charlotte

I'm an Oregon girl who loves the rain, I served a mission in the beautiful land of Ukraine and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be outside playing any and all kinds of sports and I love trying new things. I'm studying to be a social worker and hope to be able to use my Russian language skills in my future career. I'm always up for driving out to the beach, even when the weather is cloudy and rainy. Although I'm not much of a musician, I can listen to people play the piano and guitar for hours and I love discovering new bands and artists that I've never heard before. After I finish my mission, I plan on doing something I've always wanted to do, learning how to drive a stick shift! :)

Why I am a Mormon

I've attended church since I was a child and every Sunday, whether I wanted to or not, my mom would take my sibilngs and I to church. As I look back on those years, I'm so grateful to my mom for her unshakable testimony and example. As a missionary, I feel that I've really learned what it means to be a member of the church of Jesus Christ. It's not just attending church on Sundays, it's making the gospel a part of your life. Each day, my testimony about the reality of Jesus Christ as the Son of God grows and as I learn more about Him, my desire to keep His commandments increases. I know that it is only through the Atonement of Jesus Christ that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father again. He loves us and He knows us personally. I know without a doubt that He answers prayers because I've seen it in my own life. The church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the kingdom of God on the earth and that there is a living prophet today. The priesthood and power of God have been restored through the prophet Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon is holy scripture. I'm so grateful for this knowledge that I have and not a day goes by when I don't thank the Lord for what He has given me.

How I live my faith

I love participating in church activities because no matter what we are doing, it's always fun. Right now, as a missionary for the church, I get to focus all my efforts and attention on helping others develop and strengthen their faith in the Savior Jesus Christ. In the branch where I'm serving, we have activities a couple times a month where we get together and play ping-pong, watch church films, or have a cultural night. Also, it's so great, as a missionary, to always be ready to give service and assistant to those that need it. I love being on a mission and I love understanding what it means to be a true disciple of Christ.
