Hi I'm James

Born and raised in Alabama. I love eating, reading, and spending time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, my name is James. I’m married and live with my wife and two girls. We enjoy life in rural Alabama and doing things that allow us to spend time together. I have a BS in Business Management and currently work in the training department for a large television programming distributor. I love my job and the opportunity it gives me to interact with new people every day and see them improve their skills and abilities. Some of my interests include reading (leadership and motivation, history, religious, and finance), eating (I really love food), exercise (granted this is not always consistent), and doing any activity together as a family. I also enjoy working with my hands and frequently find myself involved with yard work or other home improvement projects.

Why I am a Mormon

I’m a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and that through His mercy and grace we can live with Him again after we pass from this earth. I know that living our lives in accordance with His example and by following His commandments and teachings I’ve been able to find true and lasting happiness. The two most important things in my life are my relationship with God and my family. I’m a Mormon because I know that this church is led by Jesus Christ and by living the gospel principles that I learn from attending church, as well as my own personal prayer and study, I can live with God and with my family forever. Nothing else is more important.

How I live my faith

I try to look for opportunities to help others. When I was younger I was a boy scout and always sought to “do a good turn daily.” I’ve tried to carry that same attitude throughout my life and find ways to serve and lift others up. I believe Jesus Christ lived the perfect example of kind service. In the New Testament it says Jesus “went about doing good” and I feel that is a great model for all of us to follow. Little acts of love and kindness can hopefully bless the lives of others, but definitely keep me focused on what things are of the most importance.
