Hi I'm Brighton

I love Colorado and the outdoors. I love to run, camp, hike and bike. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to my sweetheart and have a 5 month old son. I am a college student attending BYU Idaho online and I work full time. I love the outdoors and just about any activity to do with it. I enjoy working on tuning my car and mechanics. I am interested in and enjoy so many different things that I have an endless list of hobbies. They range from making chainmail armor to baking to photography and many things in between.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been through much hardship in my life. Both my parents are disabled and at age 18 I became their care giver. I struggled for nearly 10 years to pay their mortgage and keep food on the table. With many unforeseen medical bills and the typical misfortunes of life I have often been brought to the edge of despair and begged God for help. It was through praying to my Father in Heaven and having faith that he would take care of me and my family that has gotten me through each of those dark and frightening times. Each time I was in need, I would pray for the help and I would always receive all that I needed. It was not usually in the form I had suspected or even wanted, but it has always come. I have grown to know that our Father in Heaven loves each of us and is involved in all the details of our lives. He knows what each of His children need most. I testify that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins if we would only repent. Through that atonement we each can be forgiven of our past sins and move forward with a clean slate. The mercy of God is infinite, all we need to do is call on it and He will bless us beyond our imagination.

How I live my faith

I am involved with the young men in my ward and serve them as an advisor. We love to go camping, biking hiking, shooting and snowmobiling. They bring a new level of energy to my day and help me to always live as a good example. I love to help them in their desires whether it be automotive or how to cook or even to learn a new sport. As I have served I have grown to see how I can be a positive influence in the lives of our youth and connect with them on so many different levels.
