Hi I'm Michelle

I grew up in a small farm town and graduated first-generation with a dual-major B.S. degree at age 21. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm single and trying to figure out my next big move in life right now. I have a B.S. degree in political science and psychology. I recently moved to intern in Washington, D.C. I enjoy outdoor activities, creating and renovating, cooking, and singing. I love to travel and sightsee, but I've never been outside of the U.S. I've made two cross-continent road trips and have visited 24 of the 50 states.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it makes me happy. The standards the LDS Church encourages me to live make my life better, help me avoid the pain of wrong decisions, and repent when I do make bad choices. Being a member of the Church helps me grow, come closer to my Savior, and become the person I know God intended for me to be, my very best self. I'm not perfect, but I know God knows my efforts and accepts them. He is a loving, understanding Father who will make up for our human weakness if we will humble ourselves before Him, turn to Him in prayer, and live His gospel, the gospel of Jesus Christ. His gospel brings happiness, and it's so wonderful to share it with other members of the LDS Church who help strengthen and lift one another.

How I live my faith

I attend church meetings and activities weekly. I visit teach a couple of women in my ward each month and fellowship newcomers to our ward. I volunteer and participate in activities to build the community through our church and independently on a regular basis. I strengthen my faith by striving to live the gospel a little better each day, praying daily, and studying scripture regularly. I need to be strong so I can help others.
