Hi I'm Rebeka

I'm from Chicago. I love Latin dancing! And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 21 years old and I'm preparing to serve as a full-time missionary. I am studying to become a social worker because I like working with people and making a difference in their lives. I love learning about different cultures and meeting new people from all over the world. I enjoy talking with people and asking them about their life stories because it's so fun and interesting. I love to go Latin dancing, spending time with my family, scrap booking, and taking pictures and editing them. I also like to go camping with my family every summer. My favorite holiday is Christmas because the season makes me feel warm and cozy and it also brings all the family together. One of my favorite singers is David Archuleta because his music makes me happy. I'm a neat freak and I like to keep my things organized. I have a big family with five siblings and my two parents. My favorite color is orange but I love to wear pink. I love my Savior and his gospel and the happiness it brings to my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this Church is true. I have read the Book of Mormon and have felt it to be true in my heart. I know it's the word of God and that by reading it we can grow closer to the Lord. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that through him the gospel in its fullness has been restored to this earth. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has the true and full message of Christ and his teachings. I know because I've asked Him and he's answered me through the peace of the Spirit. As I live the gospel I know it is true because of the happiness, peace and joy it brings to me and my family. Being a Mormon blesses my life in more ways than I can possibly understand. I love my life and I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

At church I teach the youth ages 12 to 13 for Sunday school. I also went with the young women of my ward ages 12-18 to girl's camp this summer as their leader which was an amazing experience for me since I was one of them only a few years ago. I've also served as a ward missionary in which I helped the full-time missionaries in my ward with their work and also teaching new members. I love doing anything I can for my ward and being involved in everything we do. It's fun, I learn a lot, and I grow closer to the Lord as I serve his children.
