Hi I'm Curtis Killpack

I love life. I love the outdoors. I am a student and I love to learn. I believe in happily ever afters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be outside. I find peace and joy in nature. I feel closest to God there. I grew up in Utah and have been hiking, camping, fishing, and doing pretty much everything else you can do outside since I was young. I love sports. I have played soccer and football since I was just a boy. Music has been an incredible influence for good in my life. I love to sing. I went to college for a year and am currently serving a mission. I personally believe that every good thing in my life has come because of this Gospel and my loving Heavenly Father. I want to study neuroscience and eventually become a surgeon. My family has been an incredible source of strength and comfort to me throughout my life, and I am excited to start a family of my own some day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this Gospel has changed my life and my heart. I have always known, more or less, what is and isn't right, but I can't say I have always followed that exactly. Like all people, I have made my fair share of mistakes. I found myself in a place I didn't want to be in my life. I believed the Gospel was true and that through living its principles I would find true happiness. I decided it was time to change. Through Christ's Atonement, I was able to make the necessary changes to bring my life into closer harmony with the teachings of the Gospel and God's will for me. Before I made these changes, I felt despair, guilt, and pain beyond what I had ever known. Through coming unto Christ, I was able to feel relief of these pains. Relief so complete and joy so full that I completely forgot how bad the pain was. I have been made clean through the Atonement of my Savior Jesus Christ. I know that following the Gospel of Jesus Christ and continuing to repent daily is the path by which we will return to God. I am a Mormon because the Gospel is the only way I can return to live with God. The Priesthood of God has been restored and only through its power, I can be fully forgiven of my sins and return to my loving Father in Heaven. Through living the Gospel of Jesus Christ I can live with my wife and family for all eternity. No thought brings me greater joy than to spend eternity, growing, with the love of my life.

How I live my faith

Serving a mission is a two-year committment to leave all of your previous life behind and serve the Lord. I am learning Spanish so I can share the Gospel with people in their language. It is hard, but it is also the most rewarding experience I have ever had. Seeing people's lives change as they turn to Christ brings more joy into my life than I can even express! It is a little bit intimidating at times because I am only 19 years old, but I believe that all of my inadequacies will be swallowed up in Christ's grace as I strive to do my best and serve the Lord with all I have.
