Hi I'm Emily

I'm an amateur astronomer, a college student and, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 20 year old missionary currently serving in The Canada Montreal mission! I was born in France and grew up in the United states. Before my mission I was a student at BYU studying Astronomy and Math. In my free time I love to hike, scuba-dive, play volleyball and read. I also love trying new foods, visiting new places and learning new things!

Why I am a Mormon

Have you ever felt like you were doing everything you were supposed to but something was missing? That you didn't know why you felt so directionless... The gospel gives me direction. I know that I am a daughter of God, and that he loves me. I know that he wants me to be righteous so that I can return to live with him again. I also know that when I mess up, I can be forgiven: God loved us so much that he allowed for the atonement so that we could overcome spiritual death and for the resurrection that we might overcome physical death. I know I have felt the spirit in my life, not in burning bosoms, but in little promptings, serving others and while singing beautiful music. The gospel makes me happy. I am so thankful for the church leaders that are the mouthpieces of God on the Earth. Heavenly Father wants us to make it and has provided a way. This is my testimony. In the name of Jesus Christ: the savior, Amen.

How I live my faith

I am serving a mission in Montreal, Canada for 18 months. I love sharing the gospel, both of my parents are adult converts and I am very grateful for the missionaries that have blessed my family. There is really no greater joy than seeing these people that we love come closer to their Heavenly Father. At home I was serving as the Relief Society President in my student ward... so I had the oppurtunity to visit and get to know a lot of amazing young women my age and learn from them and their faith. I also got to teach on Sunday sometimes and it was neat to see how much the gospel can apply to our daily lives.
