Hi I'm Chris Simmons

I'm a So Cal beach stud, an Idaho spud, a Texan, a future Tony Stark, I begin each day as if it were on purpose and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up a half mile from the beach in Huntington Beach, Surf City, California, and loved to surf on foam boards called bogey-boards. I want to attend Texas A&M to study Engineering so that I can move towards a recent new dream of help those who have lost limbs with prosthetic innovation. I'm a dreamer in that I don't believe in limitations to what we are capable of. I am a sucker for movies and games, Someday It'd be cool to be a Mormon version of IronMan. I recently finished serving a 2 year mission for my Savior in the Fort Worth Texas area. I love getting to know people, because the more you know about someone, the greater influence you can have in their life for good and show them what makes them awesome. I go by the quote, "Begin each day as if it were on purpose."

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins, and that His God, and our God, has a plan for us all today. I Know that He appeared unto Joseph Smith Jr in the sacred grove and restored His true church upon the Earth in this dispensation. I continue to follow His gospel because I want to be like Him and I know that there is no way for that to be possible save I follow His commandments and serve and feed His sons and daughters, His sheep. The more I study His Atonement and the Love Christ had for us, the more I have the ability to give my Will to him and to form a fresh view of God, myself and the world around me.

How I live my faith

As a 19 year old boy I had the opportunity to be called to serve as a Full-time missionary in the Texas, Fort Worth Mission for the purpose of serving and teaching people in the world about who we are as Latter Day Saints and what our beliefs are. As missionaries, we devote 100% of our time to serving the Lord by helping his children and serving them as stated in the Bible (Matthew 25:40) and in the Book of Mormon. (Mosiah 2:17-18) I am now 21 and have finished my service as a full-time missionary. I will continue to be a good influence and share what makes me happy with others, hoping to being them closer to Jesus Christ. I am a problem-solver. I love finding solutions and figuring things out. In my personal life, I have learned to be humble enough to go to my Father In Heaven and have found the most powerful help in changing to be more like my Savior, who is perfectly Intelligent, perfectly loving and perfectly willing to help me. Some of my most spiritual experiences in my life have happened because of my choice to serve the Lord for these two years. Although I leave my family and don't see them for a period of 24 months, I have the chance to help others families to last for eternity.
