Hi I'm Te

I am from Bogota, Colombia. I have lived in the U.S. for 45 years. I am a Bilingual Customer Service Rep. for a TV company.

About Me

I am a mother of 3 soon to be a grandmother for the first time. I love to read. The books I like the most are the ones about gospel oriented true stories.

Why I am a Mormon

What matters the most to me is my family I want to be close to them here while I am on the earth and also in the next life. I became a member when I was 26 years old and though sometimes life has not been easy I have never felt that I couldn't make it. I know that being a member of this church is the reason that I have been able to endure difficult trials, not because I use the church as a crutch but because by staying close to the Lord the answers come quickly and they are always clear there is no chance left for doubt. I have chosen to be a member and stay a member because I have been given an answer to my question "Does God Exist?" not by a person but by God himself and the answer was YES. Not with his voice but by evidence of everything and everyone around me.

How I live my faith

I Love to read the scriptures I am currently reading the bible all the way through I am in Job. I feel a certain closeness to God and his son Jesus Christ as I read. I can see how they struggle to teach and keep our attention focused on the things in life that should matter the most to us. I have served in several areas of the church such as with the children, the youth and the adults. I have learned very valuable lessons from each one of the areas I have served in. One thing I have learned is how much Heavenly Father (God) loves us and how aware he is of all our needs. Even in the smallest things like a misplaced item.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Te
As I see it God has given us everything on this earth to use to enjoy to live to breathe. Why would we have a need to be paid to share this knowledge with others. Anything done in the church is with the purpose of sharing the gospel message with others. Show more Show less
