Hi I'm Tod

I grew up in Idaho, I love music and running, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and father. I have 4 kids and have been married for almost 7 years. I grew up in a family with many different interests, but mine was music. I've been in a concert band, symphonic band, marching band, pep band, and a Punk/Ska/Motown band. I played the trombone for 8 years, took piano lessons and violin lessons, both for a short while. I have a guitar and a ukulele named Marilyn, but I'm not very good at playing either one. I would love to learn to play the cello. At the end of last year the doctor told me to get healthy, I had a good start at it with eating better and going to the gym and in March of this year decided to start running. Since March I have gone from running a mile at a time to running 35+ miles a week. I am getting ready for a marathon in November and am trying to share my love for running with my family and those around me. When I was little I always wanted to be a magician when I grew up, that didn't quite pan out and I now I am working on my MBA focused in Finance so that I can become a financial counselor. In my life I want to help people in whatever way I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the peace it brings me in my life. I know the love of my Heavenly Father and have felt it throughout my life, through trials, temptations, joy and pain. By living the Gospel of Jesus Christ I see the fruits that come to my family and I. I grew up going to church because that's just what you did. As I got older there were times that I had to go on my own but I started to see how it affected my life. While serving a mission for my church I quickly found that church wasn't a "have to show my face once a week" sort of thing. It was a way of living and was to be part of my everyday life. As I try to make my relationship with my Savior a daily, constant, thing I see that I have strength beyond my own, knowledge beyond my own, a feeling of love and joy that is unequaled by anything else that I encounter in this world and I know that living the teachings of Jesus Christ will bless my family for eternity.

How I live my faith

I've had a lot of responsibilities for my church, most of them involving teaching youth of different ages. I have the blessing of being able to teach the youth with my wife and right now we teach the 5 year olds. It's a great opportunity to see the Light of Christ in these small children that we teach and also in my children at home.
