Hi I'm Tim

I am from Utah. I also love sports. I will be leaving for Sao Paulo Brazil soon. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a missionary in the Sao Paulo East mission. I am the oldest of 6 children and attended Snow College for 1 year before deciding to serve a mission. I like to learn and enjoy just about every sport with the exception of golf. I have taken about 6 years of Spanish from my Dad who served a mission in Maracaibo Venezuela. I'm an eagle scout and love the outdoors. I'm excited to be serving the Lord and enjoy learning about new cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I was raised a member of the LDS church and have always been active. Like many youth like myself I relied upon my parents testimony until I had a desire to know for myself if what I had been taught was true. I received for myself a confirmation from God through the spirit that this church is true and my testimony has been strengthened because of it. I continue to follow the teachings of the gospel because I know that following the commandments is the only way to receive eternal happiness and that is something that I am striving for. I know that God lives and that he loves each and every one of us. I know that the Savior atoned for our sins if we choose to repent and follow his teachings. He also loves us immeasurably. I know that there are prophets that live on the earth today and that Thomas S. Monson is our current living prophet today. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and know because the spirit has testified to me of its divine purpose and truth. I love this gospel and everything that comes with it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith mainly by example. I help teach my younger siblings but I haven't really ever been given a calling in the church lately. I have served in the Deacons and Teachers quorum presidencies in my ward. But I mostly just teach by example, teaching by the way I live and doing what I know to be right.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Tim
"And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." (Luke 11:9). It's as simple as that. Simply ask God with a sincere heart and with real intent and he will answer your prayers. Show more Show less
