Hi I'm Russ

I have a wonderful wife and 4 great kids, received a Masters Degree at USC so I'm a Trojan - Fight on - I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work in aerospace and have been involved in scheduling production and supply chain for 25 years. My beautiful wife and I have 4 great kids, the oldest is married and someday we hope to be grandparents. I enjoy spending time with our family and play whenever we can. I like helping others with home improvement projects - kind of a handyman.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because as a young boy, my mom was a member of the Church and my dad was Catholic, but supportive of moms desire to raise my brother and I as Mormons. My parents and some of my friends encouraged me to keep my eyes open to other people, beliefs and ways of life. As a teen I dated a girl who didn't really attend any church, as we talked about lots of stuff, but eventually we started talking about church and in-order to teach her about what I had been taught, I needed to find out for myself if what the Mormon church teaches was true. We would read from the Bible and the Book of Mormon and pray to God for assurance that what we were reading was from Him. I felt so good inside, my heart and sole were filled with Fire - just like Christ testified that he would do for all people who really want to know if it's true and ask in faith, believing they will get an answer. I have participated in several interfaith groups trying to help each other build understanding and friendship in our community. Being tolerant of others beliefs is so important to me. I loved being a host for the Newport Beach California Temple open house and being able to take my interfaith friends through a Temple of the Lord and explain how making covenants with God helps me and my family keep perspective in life and a desire to keeps Gods commandments. We still have problems and struggles, but we know that God lives, the Jesus Christ atoned for our mistakes and give us power to overcome.

How I live my faith

I love my faith - it teaches me to be more like Jesus Christ, to love others and help make my home and community a better place to live. For the last couple of years I help people find jobs when they loose theirs. I enjoy helping people improve their living conditions, by teaching them how to do things themselves - and help them every step of the way.
