Hi I'm Spencer

I grew up in South Jordan Utah, but I claim Saint Louis as my home town. I'm serving a mission in Morristown, New Jersey

About Me

I'm a serious lacrosse player! I've been playing the glorious sport for 11 years! I started out playing attack and then transfered to Defence, and then went to the real mans position as a Goalie. I was a high school all-star and look forward to play when I get home from my mission. I'm serving a mission in Morristown New Jersey. In school I try to be apart of as many things as possible, I participated in Debate and in various clubs, and I'm proud to say that I love acting and singing. Even though my team and my friends gave me a hard time, I loved every second of being in musicals. Music really is my passion and love when I'm not playing lacrosse. I love just sittin on my front porch and plaing my guitar on a nice summer day. My friends and I did battle of the band, and even though we aren't the best, we love just playing together. I play the guitar, the ukulele, the banjo, the piano, and I'm trying to learn the violin, its super hard. One of my goals is to play the organ for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, even if its just one note! One of my other favorite things to do it camping/fishing. I love the out doors and my friends and I spent much of out time out on the lake wakeboarding, or just a relaxing day out fishing. The scouting program helped me gain my love for the out doors and I'm proud to say I am an Eagle Scout.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I have recieved many blessings from being a member. I may have been born into the Church, but I am still a convert to the wonderful Gospel. My amazing parents always taught me the principles of the Church, but my father would always say "You have to know for yourselp, this Gospel is very personal, I may be able to teach you everything that I know, but unless you find out for you, It won't mean anything." So I did as my father instructed, I went to Church, I learned the principles of the Gospel and I grew in faith for myself. One moment I will remember for ever an experience I had while I was at EFY (A church activity for all youth, Especially For Youth) where I got down on my knees and prayed to my heavely father, I remember the exact words even though it was almost 7 years ago, I said "Father, I know my parents know this Gospel is true, I know my brother knows its true, I know my Bishop knows it true, I want to know if the Church is ture." Without a second to even think about what I said a incredible peace came over me, and with tears in my eyes and peace in my soul, I knew the Gospel is true. I know to this day that this Gospel is true. I know Jesus Christ is my Redeemer and Savior. I know he lives. I know God hears my prayers and that he is my loving Heavely Father. I have adopted my mothers phrase as she testifies that she know. "I know what I know, and I will not be moved." I know for myself. I am a member of a Church that is true and can bless every person in the entire world, young or old, poor or rich, alone or loved, it is for everyone and I want to proclaim its truth forever and to every part of this wonderful world.

How I live my faith

I have been a member my entire life and I have tryed to participate in the Church as much as possible. I have been blessed to be apart of callings in the Church such as, to be an assistant to the Bishop, as well as many leadership opportunities in the Scouting program and many service projects. Just recently I have been called to serve a mission for the Church, a two year long calling that I am so blessed with. I look forward to these two years I get to serve the Church and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
