Hi I'm Rob

I grew up in California. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have worked at a summer camp named Camp Winton for four consecutive summers as a camp counselor, and as a result, I have sung the Gilligan's Island theme song over a thousand times, been pied in the face almost every week, and taught outdoor skills from small boat sailing to wilderness survival. I love playing almost all sports, especially basketball and football, and I joined a rowing team, or crew, for a semester in high school. I love music - pretty much anything chill, upbeat, positive, or happy. I play the guitar (a bit). I like drawing, especially with a pencil, and one of my biggest goals in life is to be able to sketch anything I see in an accurate representation. I love learning, teaching, the outdoors, camping, sports, my family, and just straight up being happy!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love being happy, and nothing on this earth has given me so much happiness as this church and it's teachings. Because of Jesus Christ's atonement, I can know that there is always someone who knows what I have gone through and what I am going through now, and I can't even describe the feeling of knowing that Jesus knows me personally. I know with a surety that when I follow Jesus' example I can have peace and joy in this life. The Book of Mormon is the word of God, and I know it, but don't take my word for it! (see 1 John 5:9) Since you are a child of God, God loves you and wants you to be happy, therefore He will guide you to the truth and answer your prayers to know if it is true. (see James 1:5-6) God has told me that it is true, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am currently on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Frankfurt, Germany, where I teach about the Savior Jesus Christ and about God's plan for us. But serving a mission isn't how I live my faith, at least not fully. I live my faith as I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. Who can profess to love the Savior if they don't keep His commandments? As I live His teachings, I feel God's love for me, and that includes telling others of the reason of my happiness and serving my fellow man.

In whom should we have faith?

We must have faith in Jesus Christ, because only through him can we live forever with our families, feel the warmth of comfort he brings when you feel like no one understands you, and be truly, completely happy. Show more Show less
