Hi I'm Martha Lynn Tanner

I was born in Raymond Alberta Canada. I am a mother of 6. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of 6. We have 3 boys and 3 girls. I love to quilt. I graduated from BYU with a degree in Elementary degree with a minor in music. I taught school until I became a mother. I married Ron in the Temple. In 2009 I went to Ethiopia with a NGO and taught English to under priviledge children for 6 months. We loved it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. Just because I have been taught about the church I still had to ask and search so that I would have my own witness of the truthfullness of the gospel. I know that this church is true, that Joseph Smith restored Christ's church, that Jesus Christ attoned for us in the garden so that we could return and live Eternally with our Father in Heaven. I also know that I have a family that can be together forever as long as I live worthy. My testimony is my most precious gift and I want it to always remain strong.

How I live my faith

I have had many callings in the LDS church. I have taught children, youth and adults. I have taught music and have led many choirs. I played hand bells in the community for 5 years which I really enjoyed. I was incharge of preparing and serving meals at the shelter once a month. I ahve also taught quilting at the shelter for homeless mothers and their children. I also voluntered for an NGO called CHOIR and spent 6 months in Ethiopia teaching English while my husband helped with water projects .
